Injured and orphaned, Athena was small enough to rest in the pocket of her apron as Nightingale moved through crowded hospitals late into the night, tending to the wounded amid illness, exhaustion, and uncertainty. The owl stayed close — quiet, watchful, alive against her chest. This traditional bezel pendant is made in that spirit: the diamond fully encircled within a continuous frame, protected and held near the heart.
